AIM Aviation today announces a new commercial group structure that will enable the business to continue its long history of success as a market leader in delivering cabin interiors. This is being brought about by the impending retirement of Peter Forbes from his role as Executive Director.
Richard Bower has been appointed Group Commercial Director for AIM Aviation. He begins his new role on 1st May 2013. In this role he will be succeeding Peter, who is due to retire in June. As part of these changes, John Heath will take on the new role of Group Design and Technical Director, reporting to Richard Bower.

Richard joined AIM Aviation in 2011 as the Managing Director of the Galleys and Stowages business, based in Byfleet. Before joining AIM, Richard was Chief Executive Officer at SELL up until and throughout the acquisition by Zodiac.

With over 40 years’ experience in the aviation industry, John has been at the forefront of many technical advances and innovations. He became AIM Aviation’s Technical Director in 2001 and has been responsible for the design and certification of over 2,000 different new cabin interiors, major modifications and refurbishments for both aircraft and helicopters. John will continue to be based in Boscombe.

Peter joined AIM Aviation in 1983 and has just completed 30 years’ service with the Group. He advanced the business from a small company with vision, to a hugely successful, highly regarded, multi-national concern. Although Peter is retiring as an Executive Director of AIM Aviation, he has agreed to continue his association with the business as a Non-Executive Director. Peter formally retires in June but these changes will start to take effect from 1 May, 2013.

We would all like to thank Peter for his many years of service to the Group and wish him all good fortune for a long and happy retirement.”
