AIM Aviation today announces the appointment of Wayne Ball as General Manager of Galleys and Stowages.
Three main divisions make up the AIM Aviation group and, as General Manager of the Galleys and Stowages business, Wayne will work alongside AIM’s Cabin Interiors and Composites teams, to meet the full spectrum of requirements from airlines and OEMs. |
Wayne has been appointed General Manager following Richard Bower’s promotion to Group Commercial Director. Reporting to Richard, Wayne will have full responsibility for the Galleys and Stowages operations at both Byfleet in Surrey and Dafen, South Wales. This will include overseeing the technical, quality, engineering and production teams, as well as procurement, programme management, finance and administration.
Mark Edwards, CEO of AIM Aviation, says: “We wish Wayne every success in his new role. As with all the divisions at AIM Aviation, Galleys and Stowages has a reputation for meticulous design, high-quality craftsmanship and robust engineering. We are confident that Wayne will be able to continue to build upon the success that the business has enjoyed for many years.”
Wayne has extensive global experience of operations and supply chain management. He worked with Rolls Royce Plc for 24 years and was responsible for 2,400 people, across seven plants, as Operations Director for the turbines group. Wayne then spent two years working with SELL and Dasel, as Global Operations Director for PAIG and, following that, three years with David Brown Gear Systems as General Manager for the UK facilities. He joined AIM Aviation in January this year as Operations Director of Galleys and Stowages. Wayne’s appointment as General Manager of Galleys and Stowages at AIM Aviation takes effect from 1st May 2013.
