In April 2012 Virgin Atlantic Airways launched a new very futuristic interior with many of their iconic features, flashes of red, sparkling Swarovski crystal accents, luxurious soft trim panels, new stylish bar stools, sitting and socialising areas. Virgin chose AIM Aviation to bring this new thinking to life and AIM has delivered, characteristically at the top end of quality.
New lighting effects create a real uplifting atmosphere in the bar area which is separate from the upper class cabin. AIM has excelled in capturing the Virgin design intent within the product.
The composite concrete bar top has been developed by AIM in a true research and development programme. Resulting in a revolutionary new material which is totally new to aircraft use, another first for AIM now in airline service.
AIM used advanced new manufacturing techniques to qualify to Airbus satisfaction this ground breaking technology.
The sculptured stool emphasize the attractive angular look, with comfortable leather clad seat cushions. These are machined from a solid billet to create a unique and very stylish design.
The mixture of aircraft grade fabrics on a variety of features and cabin monuments give an overall effect of upper class.
